The new album, Out of Time Out of Tune, is streaming everywhere! However, you can buy physical copies here.

Iβve always been fond of this song. Though I probably hadn’t heard it in nearly 25 years until recently. π€£ This song is about leaving and going zero contact with someone you don’t like. Maybe an abusive family member, a shitty friend, and/or terrible relationship partners. Please remember, dear reader, you do NOT have to put up with abusive behavior–find your peace and fight for it.
This song closed out side-one of my second cassette tape from 1998, Out of Time Out of Tune–now re-mixed and re-mastered for 2026! It was one of five or six songs that I didnβt convert to wav files or mp3 files in the early 2000s. Normalize cookie monster vocals! πͺ

Frigid Cold
It’s a lie that’s how it starts.
Then it rots as you see it grow.
There’s no telling what’s hidden in the folds.
That’s when it gets to me.
I start to get
Cold. So cold.
Cold. So cold.
I was there then I was gone.
Looking hard for a place to belong.
I stopped believing everything I was told.
And then it’s broken.
In the ice I bleed
Cold. So cold
Cold. So cold.
It’s a shame that we have to pretend.
I tried to rest but you’ve bitten my hand.
Was it worth everything that you sold?
I feel it rising, I know it feels
Cold. So cold.
Cold. So cold.
Pretend the problem doesn’t exist.
You can’t control everyone that resists.
Never will you understand or know.
The ice freezes faster than it breaks. I’m so
Cold. So cold.
Cold. So cold

How do you play it? Itβs in E minor/Phrygian and the distortion should be screaming on the guitar.
Verses are E5 with walk up variations and end with touch harmonics.
