My name is K. I have spent the majority of my life creating and performing music. I stopped performing publicly around 2012 and now spend most of my time writing and recording. I studied music composition in grad school so that is what I really enjoy.
Aside from music, my interests are books and vegan food. I am a life-long bibliophile and have been either vegetarian or vegan since the mid aughts.

Social media is a weird thing that I am uneasy with–I would rather spend my time working on my art than endlessly scroll, argue with strangers, or try to catch a viral moment. I interact as much as I can but don’t expect me to constantly blast my face everywhere or be present all the time. I am happy doing the bare minimum. I create music for my own sanity and enjoyment. My narcissism is in my music not a fake version of me that may appear online. I’m not trying to get clicks, likes, or shares and I don’t expect to make any money. Somewhere there might be a few people who love the same kind of weird as me so I’m putting it out there for them.
As things are now, every penny gained goes back into the art. In the past I have hustled music for a living by performing, recording, teaching, writing, and arranging (and more). What I found, was that the only way to actual make a living was to work tirelessly, endlessly, all day, everyday. Always on. And with all that, only get to do the fun stuff that I like, writing what I want, about ten percent of the time. So now I have the freedom to focus all my musical energy on the parts I need, the stuff that makes me complete. I schluff through my day job to keep creating. 🤣
