Earlier this year I published my instrumental song, Mood Swings. It is streaming everywhere (spotify) and I wrote more about it here.
In a nutshell, I wrote, performed, and recorded it in 1997 and it appeared on a cassette tape with 11 other songs. I made copies and sent them to friends. The whole 1997 original album is now streaming everywhere.
As mentioned in the original Mood Swings blog post, The title means nothing. I arbitrarily called it that–it had no program. …Until now! I wanted to use this as a test to learn some new-to-me editing software. I developed a weird story to go with the music and used AI to generate a few character images and background scenes. Then I pulled it into Adobe Premier and edited it into a story. Note: AI was only used for the pictures–none of my music is or ever will be AI. It is art that is AI assisted but not created by AI. As a long-term do-it-yourselfer, I like to use all the tools available to me to bring my art and vision to life. You can watch the video to enjoy the story. Will I use AI in the future? Maybe but probably not. It’s way more work than it’s worth and most people who value art really hate AI. I don’t think we will be able to escape it. It’s in every single web browser, in all google mail, in Outlook, it’s everywhere and invading everything.
